So I got a hair cut this weekend. I really wanted something different - and this is definitely different. It was kind of funny - I told Kim (my stylist) when I sat down, "I need different. It's just time for a change."
Kim: "So you want it shorter?"
Me: "Well...can you make it longer?"
Kim: "So how short are we talking?"
So she starts holding her fingers basically at the same place we ALWAYS trim it to. And...starting to chicken out a little I say fine. When she's about half way through, I finally realize that I'm going to be very unhappy with this cut if it's not different, so...
Me: "Can we go shorter than this?"
Kim: "Sure."
Me: "Sorry to wait so long."
Kim: "No problem. I only get mad when you wait til I'm done blowdrying it."
So, end result looks pretty good. I tell her I like it, pay my millions, and go home thinking it's a pretty good cut but...there might be more that I need to try next time.
Fast forward to today...
Have you ever LOVED your hair so much that you think about calling the salon and asking for your stylist so you can tell her one more time how much you like your hair? I am seriously considering this. I have never liked my hair better two days later than I did when I left the salon. Usually it's a half-life much like that of caffiene - as the hours pass, so does the enjoyment of the hair until you're hopefully flattened out at a point you can live with instead of at a point where you console yourself with "Well....hair grows."
But for now I will simply say...MY HAIRCUT ROCKS.
I hope she can do it again.

take lots of digital pictures or polaroids so she can see it.
