TV Turnoff Week

I think this is probably a good idea for a lot of households. However, I don't think Tim & I will be participating - mostly because I'm pretty sure we went all of last week with no TV and possibly the week before, though we might have watched an hour during dinner a few times that week. Cause for us, with school and work, pretty much the only time we can watch without the guilt of knowing we should be doing something else is during supper. And seriously, you can only eat dinner in front of the TV so many times a week before you're just dying to sit at the table and have conversation. Or at least in our house that's the case.

As a result of our TV watching drought, I think our DVR is nearing the 10 hours remaining level - I should probably at least pop it on tonight and check for re-runs so we don't start losing stuff that we haven't seen because it recorded re-runs more recently.

Regardless, if you do watch a lot of TV and haven't ever tried to go a week without, it's worth doing. Go get a book or three at the library and spend your evenings reading or playing board games with the family. It does a body good.
