you see the following headline: Doctor who caused building blast ruled a suicide
but read it: Doctor Who caused building blast; ruled a suicide
and only wonder why something about Doctor Who is in the US News section of Google news.

That is funny. One of the headlines I posted on my blog the other day was "Hot Dog Mailed Between Sisters for 54 Years" and I thought it could easily be misinterpreted as if the hot dog was mailed actually BETWEEN SISTERS for 54 years. Now that would be a headline! ;)
ReplyDeleteIm confused.....What did Dr. Who do?
ReplyDeleteGet me to a PHONE BOOTH!
Guess I'm not geek enough - Never read or heard of Dr. Who and I'm on the computer most of the day?! Maybe I'm avoiding Google products for bias or something. ;-D
ReplyDeleteChrys, please, please please tell me you're joking. Please? It's a TV show, but it's been around for ages, they've just restarted it (they being the BBC.) The SciFi channel has picked it up here in the US...and maybe that's just revealing even more geekiness. :)
ReplyDeleteNot a phone booth, RM, a Police Box. Marginally different, but you still get points.
Susie, I saw that and laughed - I had read it that way the first time.
