Quick Randomness

I'm home from training - there is no Internet connectivity in our classroom. The horror! However, there are only 2 of us in the class. Well, and the instructor. Who just reads the slides to us. In his kinda cool French accent. (Same guy as last time.) But the other guy in the class is Indian. And asks lots of questions in a very thick Indian accent. That's India Indian. And I don't think either one understands the other. I'm thinking maybe we need a UN translator. Or we need to speak in the international language.

No, not love.

Math.

Though that wouldn't help much with the training topic.

However, we finished 3 hours early today. And there are only 2 lessons left in the notebook. We're averaging about 30 minutes per lesson. If I only have an hour of training tomorrow, does that mean I get to go home? Or do I have to go in to the regular office thereafter? I'm holding out for going home. Better start thinking up questions to ask so we can stretch it out enough that it's legit.

Or at least as legit as it can get. (Or too legit to quit, either way.)

  1. If math is the universal language, it's no wonder I'm so misunderstood.

  2. I had a similar problem in a class I took for my Masters... Indian student & extremely agèd professor. Major communication breakdown. Majorly painful to listen to.

  3. Slushturtle - I've often felt that way myself. :) And yet I am frequently reassured that math is indeed the universal language.

Matt - very, very painful to listen to...and worse because I don't understand either of them well enough to just be a go-between.
