Friday Randomness

I've got very little currently, except the following random tidbits:

  • I'm thoroughly enjoying The Gospel-Driven Church. As it's a blog by one of the Thinklings, I'm not surprised, but you should check it out, if you haven't already.
  • Apparently I have Chubby Checker on my iPod. I'm not sure why. But hey, Limbo Rock is kinda fun.
  • I may play around with my template a little this weekend, we'll see. There are some tweaks I'd like to make - probably nothing earth shattering though.
  • I've got several book blog tours coming up, should be fun! (Of course, what's not to love about free books?) I probably should also mention that I'm not getting anything out of these blog tours other than a free copy of the book - so my opinion as posted really is my opinion of the book and if I don't like it, I'm free to say so. That said, I will try to say it nicely. But I thought y'all might want to know that. (This will probably be important with one upcoming book.)
  • We're having the parental units from both sides of the family over for grilling on Sunday afternoon. Um. We're not grilling the parental units. We're serving them grilled food (steak and chicken). That's about the extent of our planned Labor Day festivities.
  • Well, we're probably going to Borders...cause I have a coupon for books and another for coffee! (25% off on the books, FREE for the coffee. Yay for free!)
  • And we may go see the Bourne Ultimatum.
  • Finally, if you had friends with a four-almost-five-year-old, would you try to convince them that taking her along on a day trip to Winterthur was a good idea or a bad idea? I'm torn - I suspect she'd enjoy herself...but it'd probably be a looong day. Thoughts?

Jump In the Line by Harry Bellafonte will be on that iPod. It's only a matter of time.

I really like Harry Bellafonte. I blame Beetlejuice.

You know, I did consider that possibility but I though "Beth is incredibly hip, but not impossibly hip!" I was wrong. My apologies.

  4. While I've been told I'm both impossible and incredible at various times, they've never been followed by the word "hip". :)

I think they would love to go - even with thier daughter since you are covering the cost of the trip for them.
