Ah, Trolls

Jen asked yesterday why some people would have a blog if you don't want people to read it. And at the time I agreed, it does indeed seem silly. On the other hand, given the oh-so-brave troll that came marching through from Texas last night (oh, yeah, hey! I know how to read my counter stats! I even know your IP.) and left ill informed anonymous comments...well, I begin to see the allure of a blog no one reads.

So...I'm turning off anonymous comments. It won't keep the trolls completely away, I realize, but it does make it one step more annoying for them.

As for the accusation that the troll made that I'm going to delete his/her comments - I don't generally do that, which if they'd been reading here before someone emailed them (to their Yahoo mail) my piece on why I voted for Huckabee, well, they'd know that. But since they obviously wanted them deleted, it's been done. Why leave a comment if you're going to ask the blog owner to delete it?

  1. I get what you're saying about trolls. But why blog is no one is going to read it? Seriously?

  2. Oh, I still agree. Just on days like today it makes a little more sense. :)
