Tonight we had one of my go to meals that seems to hit the spot, no matter what the weather. What is it about rice, cream of mushroom soup, and cheddar cheese that is so amazing? (Well, the chicken was nice too - but I really only add it so we can pretend to be trying to balance our meal.) It just gets to perfectly gooey and bubbly and the cheese makes a squooshy crust...mmmm.
Do you think if you baked cheese, without the cream of mushroom soup and rice, that you could still get that gooey crusty effect? Or is it only because of the interaction of the liquids? I may have to try that.
In other, semi-related thoughts (semi-related as it has to do with food) - Top Chef has started back up. Woo! And they're in Chicago. And they went to Pizzeria Uno. Now, I will not contest that back in the day, Unos probably was a worthwhile place to go. But seriously, why would you go there and not Gino's East if you're in Chicago and you want pizza (or Giordano's, even. And boy, I didn't need to know that Gino's will ship pizzas.) Unos is for tourists. The other two are for foodies.
Regardless, I'm pleased with who got sent home first and looking forward to see how the season pans out. (Get it? Pans...oh never mind.)
Speaking of being pleased about who went home - ANTM sent home the right person last night, too. Though honestly? I wish the other person in the bottom two had gone, cause she's super witchy and she simply annoys me. Maybe next week. As for who I like? I'm having a tough time this season finding anyone to root for. I'd root for Lauren, but she won't be around long unless she seriously steps up her walk. (Ok, that one was unintentional.) Who's left? So far no one sticks out as worth rooting for. Though I really don't like the bottom 2 survivor from this week and horsey mane chick.
And there we have the random, oozy crusty cheese inspired thoughts of this evening.

You really should try to catch Make Me a Supermodel if you like the modeling shows. I'm totally hooked on it.
