And Now Begins the Waiting

I turned in my idea paper revisions on Saturday. We'll see how long it takes for him to get around to reading it. I should probably cut him a little slack as he is also teaching, but the last time was nearly 3 months turn around. I won't let it go that long this time (he had a death in the family so I didn't want to nag), but I'm still expecting it to take at least 2 weeks. Maybe longer. We shall see. In the mean time, apparently I'm anxious about it as the "totally unprepared for school" dreams have begun.

Last night was a particularly exciting one as I was in a chemistry class (I suck at chemistry) and we had to analyze the goop that oozed out of a snake. Not venom, goop off the body. And my lab partners were trying to get me to taste it to figure out what it was. And I was trying to get them organized, but they just wanted to keep picking up the snake and rubbing it on a slide and do one slide at a time, but I wanted to just put together a collection of slides and then do various experiments to determine what it was without having to repeatedly touch the creature. Then there was no table space in the lab, so we had to fight other groups for it - but of course, they turned into werewolves and we were fighting in a ditch and I kept slipping in the mud. Eventually we prevailed and got a lab table.

Then the baby cried and I have never been happier to wake up and feed him.

I wish I just had the normal "naked on the first day of school" dreams.

  2. Is "naked on the first day of school" anything like being in sun-god robes and a 1000 naked women are throwing little pickles at you?
