Good for Them!

It's so nice to see the Catholic church having the guts to tell Hollywood where to stick it. (Article link in title.) For me, the money quote was this:

"It's a film that treats religious issues in a way that contrasts with common religious sentiment," Fibbi told the wire service. "Normally we read the script but this time it was not necessary. The name Dan Brown was enough."
Seriously, maybe if more people stood up like this we'd get to the point where it wasn't not only ok, but required, to make fun of Christianity in order to get bucks at the box office. I'm sure that everyone else will be up in arms and say that this is close minded, blah blah blah. But seriously, good for the diocese of Rome. Huzzah.
