In the Mood for a Drive

Well, really, I'm in the mood for a vacation, but that's not looking promising any time soon. So I think maybe one of the days of the Columbus Day weekend, we'll toddle West and drive parts of Skyline Drive and hope for some color (and a reasonably small amount of traffic). Afterward, maybe we'll swing into Charlottesville and see if Tim's aunt and uncle are free for supper.

Google maps makes it look like a reasonable day trip. Anyone been on Skyline Drive during that timeframe? Are we nuts?
