Indivisible is a fast paced, deeply suspenseful novel with rich, real characters who all have hidden pasts. As Police Chief Jonah Westfall investigates a series of suspicious animal mutilations, we watch him delve into his past and the actions that led to his alcoholism, his sobriety, and his estrangement from the woman he loves but can't be with. We also see the tangled dynamics of families - some forged by blood and others by circumstance. Through the twists and turns you see God's redemption and forgiveness played out in the relationships that develop and change as Jonah works to arrest a drug dealer and find out who is behind the animal mutilations and stop them before the madness progresses.
This book was hard to put down - the characters really draw you in and, unlike many mysteries that are easy to figure out, this one leaves you guessing til the very end.
