Breezewood is and will ever be evil.
Indiana is flat. Also so much corn.
There is nothing that compares to Giordano's pizza when near Chicago.
Iowa is not as flat as I anticipated. Also it's green. Also we detoured to Riverside so we could see the future birthplace of James T. Kirk. Because it's Kirk. Also when am I ever going to be in Iowa again?
Nebraska is beautiful. Also flat. Also full of corn.
Wyoming is breathtaking. But very, very, very long when you're hitting the whole East to West shooting match.
Coming down the mountains in an overstuffed minivan is...frightening. Doing it while your sister has a panic attack just adds to the difficulty level.
Salt Lake City doesn't look anything like I expected. I'm not sure what I expected, but this is not it.
Tomorrow is our last day. It's a pretty solid 12 hour stretch. I'm worried there will be more "down the mountain panic attacks" to contend with in Nevada. Although sister should be doing most of the driving (because she's a control freak and won't be working tomorrow like she was Wed/Thurs/Fri).
I'm glad we're nearly at the end.
Flying home Sunday on the red-eye (because of course I am).
Goodness. I hope you made it home safe!
ReplyDeleteI, too, have no idea what SLC ought to look like.
