A Very Covid Christmas

Sister, in town for the holidays, met up with a friend for dinner on Sunday evening. Monday, said friend tested positive for Covid. So yeah, that's happening.

I feel like we need the Ginsu Knives guy though, because just wait! There's more!

See, sister is staying at Dad's house.

Sister, immunocompromised because hello cancer.

Dad, 80, type 1 diabetic.

Yeah these are EXACTLY the people who need the plague.

Positive sides, they're both fully vaxxed. Dad has even gotten a booster. And it's not that I believe the "vaccine" is really one, but it's more like a flu shot. And I'm all for them getting a lighter, or at least not deadly, case of said illness. If the gene therapy will help with that, then I'm for it.

Yesterday, I headed out to CVS to pick up some purported prophylactics (zinc, D, B complex, etc -- basic immune system support) and drop it off. None of it will hurt them if they don't have it, but maybe some will help.

But as of now, they'll be quarantining on separate floors of their house for Christmas. So glad she flew out for that. <insert eyeroll here>

She'll go get a test tomorrow and then again I think 2 days thereafter. Not sure if Dad has plans to test (maybe that'll be based on Sister's results.)

But basically I just want to print about ten thousand face-palm emojis one after the other. Because really.
