And....exhale

The proposal is submitted. And I found myself saying words I didn't ever expect to utter, "What's next?" Of course, most of this is motivated by the fact that I now no longer have a charge number. And that's a bad, bad thing. So...bring it on. At least it's something to do.

The race to the finish (of proposalling) was marred only by one interruption from "He Who Knows Absolutely Nothing Yet Still Sticks His Pesky Fingertips Into Every Pie" who just had to alter the pricing proposal to include technology that isn't useful in this particular effort but is something we always bid. Now, you make your own conclusions, but if we always bid it and we never win...wouldn't you at least want to try not bidding it a few times to see what happens? Might just be me.

In other news, the fountains are empty today. So our 1-day streak seems to have ended. I guess it started leaking again. At this point, I agree wholeheartedly with my sister -- they ought to just scrap the fountain idea, fill the pits with sand and/or small gravel and make it a Zen garden. They could even start renting rakes as a side-income generator. I think being able to go downstairs and rake gravel might be a better alternative to work, some days.

Beyond that, I have no deep thoughts to share. Other than this one: 13 days until.
