The Fascinating Observations of CoWorkers

So, a guy I work with comes into my office and begins this conversation with this:

Him: You must really like pink, don't you?
Me: Um. I never really thought about it. It's ok.
Him: You wear a lot of it.
Me: (Glancing down - yes today my shirt does have pink in it and so I'm wearing my pink watch) Ohh..kay.
Him: You've got at least two pink watches.
Me: No - just this one.
Him: Oh. Ok. But the suit jacket you had on the other day had pink lining.
Me (rather astounded): Yeah, I guess it did.

The conversation then turned relevant. But really - who notices the color of a coworkers suit LINING? Not me. In fact, I hadn't noticed the color of that particular suit's lining until yesterday when I hung it back up. Bizarre. And for all that, pink is not my favorite color. It used to be. From ages, oh, six to twelve or so, the Crayola Crayon color "Carnation Pink" was my absolute favorite color. Since then I prefer the darker purples and tealy-blues, though a good emerald green is always good too. In fact, I'm pretty hard pressed to pick a favorite color anymore. Maybe I should just go back to pink.
