Not only do I have a migraine brewing behind my left eye, but I'm really unmotivated today. Unmotivated to be at work. Unmotivated to blog. Un. Motivated.
The sad thing is I've had this idea for a post on why I am not now nor ever have been a feminist rolling around in my brain - and sometime I really want to type it up, but...well... I also know I owe Gwynne and Jim a post on The Celebration of Discipline. But today, even thinking about writing something thought provoking hurts.
However, I also know I promised tales of alligators from my trip to Florida at the beginning of the month. Fortunately for me, I did not encounter any of said creatures. So...I'm afraid all I can offer you is this (though it is one of my all-time personal favorites, so that has to count for something):
*ahem*
How doth the little crocodile (by Lewis Carroll)
How doth the little crocodile
improve his shining tail,
and pour the waters of the Nile
on every golden scale?
How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in,
With gently smiling jaws.

ReplyDeleteSweet. 8-}
ReplyDeleteThough I am looking forward to a post on Celebration of Discipline, please do not feel that you owe us anything. Because, well, then, I might owe you something thought provoking in return. And that thought gives me a migraine. ;-)
Hope your migraine has gone and you are feeling much better :)! LOL Gwynne!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your post on not being a feminist..whenever you get to it. I would be delighted to hear it!
ReplyDelete:)
Gwynne - Don't mistake anythign here...you owe me. You owe me big time. ;) How's your head?
ReplyDeleteRach - Thanks. It's basically gone. Today I have the "I had a migraine yesterday" hangover. But that's a little more bearable, even if makes me grumpy. And boy am I grumpy. :)
Queen Beth - I'll try to get to it next week sometime. I was thinking about it again this morning in the shower (how sad is that? planning posts in the shower) and it may end up being either very long or split into a few parts. We shall see. :)
Yeah, well, thanks, Beth. ;-) I wondered where this headache came from. Though it hasn't migrated to migraine status yet. Glad yours is better.
ReplyDeleteHey, you also owe me a photo of your feet in a nightstand drawer. Just so you know I haven't forgotten. ;-)
