Homecoming

Ruth Graham went home last night. There's no doubt that she and her husband have made an incredible impact for Christ, and I imagine that she is reveling in the glory of being able to worship at the feet of her Savior in person for eternity.

Almost exactly two years ago I wrote a litte post on the various surrogate aunts and uncles who brought love and joy to my childhood. The specific aunt in the post (on the passing of her husband) is my aunt Rosa, who was the first child born to Dr. and Mrs. L. Nelson Bell, medical missionaries to China. She is Ruth Graham's older sister and the only one of the Bell children still living.

If you think of it today, pray for her. For while I'm sure she rejoices that her sister is finally well after a prolonged illness, there is also surely grief at having watched the last of her younger siblings proceed her in death.

She did make an impact on millions and she is dancing with Jesus now. Even though it's sad it's also joyful because you know where her heart was. Now she sees Jesus face to face.

    Will dep keep praying
