Lists, Glorious Lists!

We are in the throes of packing and the great list making effort has begun. We have lists of what to take, lists of what needs to be done before we leave. Lists lists lists!

We'll still forget plenty, I'm sure. For example, the camera is item number 20 on the "what to take" list. And it was added as a forehead slapping "duh". We then had to scramble around trying to remember where, exactly, we might find the camera.

Still, tomorrow begins the great sojourn south that will, hopefully, culminate in the great sojourn back north accompanied by a baby. (Similar to exiting stage left chased by a bear. But not quite as Shakespearean.)

I will apologize in advance as this blog will most likely become All Baby! All The Time! for a few days. I promise that it won't stay that way forever. But as this is currently the biggest event in life it seems kind of natural that it would be the focus of my thoughts. And even in the midst of this, I'm sure I can regale you with great stories of Tim whining about how much he hates long car trips (his motto: If it's farther than 2 hours away? Fly!)

Now I must be off to settle the puppies at the grandparent's house where they will be spoiled rotten and wonder why we bother coming back when they are treated so much better by grandpa and grandma. We call their house Puppy Disneyland.

  1. You don't need to apologize for sharing the most important event of your life. This is very exciting! I, for one, am looking forward to All Baby, All The Time reporting. =)

    Godspeed on your journey!

Praying for you both, the baby, the birthmom, safe travels. And, like Gwynne, I'm looking forward to baby tales....they have been very long in coming.

  3. I'd be pretty disgruntled if you said you WEREN'T going to do All Baby, All the time. That's what we're all waiting for with baited breath. I do pray you'll have a safe and excellent trip with glorious results.

  4. Fair enough to be talking about the babe for a while - it's your right and privilege :).
