Things I Plan to Post About At Some Point

(At some point = when I have time and brain capacity).

  • Group work sucks. Period. There is simply no excuse for this madness being thrust upon those of us seeking education.
  • Sleep deprivation causes stupidity. Who knew? (My guess? Everyone but me.)
  • Insights into God I have gained through just 2 weeks plus a few days as an adoptive parent. (The adopted part is important. This one is one I really want to get to.)
  • School is almost over. I feel like digging out the old "No more pencils, no more books" ditty. Except of course that I have the dissertation still. Details.
  • What I've been reading lately. (Yes, there is still time for reading. Hush.)
  • The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Everyone seems to hate it. Tim and I are enjoying the heck out of it.
  • The winners of the Amazing Race. All I will say on this subject is HOORAY! They are exactly who I wanted to win once the team I really wanted to win got eliminated.
  • I never realized how thankful I am that I can burp on demand. Just sayin'.
I'm still keeping up with reading y'all - and trying to comment. But I find my supply of wit is very, very low right now as it takes the majority of my humor to find a way to laugh at myself at 2:30 in the morning after dumping the contents of an entire bottle all over me, Josh, and the rocking chair because I forgot to screw the nipple on before shaking it.

    Hang in there mom!

As for the adoption thing. Yep, that's key. Can't wait to read what you have to say about that. I know it'll be worth the wait.

  3. That won't be the first bottle that ends that way. =)

  4. I'm enjoying the parenting posts because I can really relate to them right now!

As for the stupidity...hate to say it, but it really comes down to the cumulative effect. One or two nights of less than five hours slee (non-consecutive) will make you loopy. A month of that will turn you into a blithering idiot.

Which is why I'm slightly terrified of turning in my next book. Lord only knows whether it's any good after so little sleep.

  6. I'm really looking forward to the adoptive parent post also.

And I'm still laughing at the last part of your last sentence, not just the fact that these things happen to others 8-}, but read parts of it out of context and you'll see what I mean. ;-)
