I'm late to the show, I realize, but I did want to recognize that today is the observance of Veteran's Day (which was, in actuality, yesterday), and say Thank You to all the men and women who have served our country over the years.
I'm home today, which is a pleasant thing. The puppies aren't exactly sure what to make of it since the need to follow me around as I try to do homework and some chores (laundry, dishes, that kind of thing) seems to be interrupting their regularly scheduled nap times. They're reaching the point that unless I start to change floors, they just stay put, figuring that I'm just getting water or something and will be back shortly, making any attempt on their part to move an exercise in silliness. They lead such a life a suffering.
I have done a considerable amount of both home and house work. Now I'm trying to gear myself up to continue working on a project that isn't due until the last week of January. It's just slightly difficult to motivate myself when I have that much time and it really isn't *that* difficult of a project. But I'm trying to convince myself that if I spend an hour or two on it now I can play with my NaNo project later this evening.
Is anyone else having a challenging time recognizing that it's almost Thanksgiving? That just seems way too soon.
I've got another blog tour book review coming up sometime this week. I also have one giveaway copy of the book - I think getting the second copy was an accident, but I'm happy to share the love. So contemplate whether or not you'd like a free book. (Obviously you might want to wait until after you read what it's about.) I enjoyed it, I will say that much now.
That's really all I've got - and I think the washer just finished up, so I should switch that load to the dryer and get the sheets and towels going.

I love the part about the puppies. I can just imagine them sitting there waiting on you.
ReplyDeleteI'll take it! Unless it's a chick-only book. :)
Mac does the same somewhat these days. He's asleep right now lol.
