Sorry for being quiet around here (not that you're all waiting with bated breath or anything, but, well, thought I should apologize anyway) - I have had my nose firmly attached to the grindstone and have (finally!) whacked together a revised idea paper that I'm getting ready to send off to my "advisor". (Just waiting on a few tweak recommendations from my sister.)
I have no doubt that it'll come back with a litany of negative remarks and electronic red ink, but hey, right now it feels like progress. Marginal though it may be. Who knows, I could end up surprised and actually get approval to proceed. Stranger things have happened.
When not doing this, I've been trying to keep track of my class of slackers who have just finished up their midterms. Well, seven of the twenty of them have, at any rate. Where are the other 13? No idea. Emails have either not been returned at all or have been met with heart string pulling tales of personal tragedy and pleas for a few extra days. I am trying to remember that I need to personify grace. But I'm getting thisclose to being a real stickler about my published late policy. Cause dang.
I've also been doing a little reading here and there (stuff that goes beyond Dr. Seuss, since at this point Sleepy Baby doesn't really seem to care what I read to him - he's equally fascinated by any content whatsoever.) And there will be some blog tour type reviews coming up as well as, if things continue in their current vein, some stuff that I've read just for fun.
And maybe my knitting needles will show up in today's mail and I can get a few stitches knocked out during a nap.

May your idea (paper) be blessed.
