Until this morning, the usual wake-up call that drifted to our room was a series of coughs as they worked into a steady bout of crying that was as if to say, "Hellooooo?" This morning I was, instead, greeted with quiet, happy burblings of "dadadmamadadadoo" (or something along those lines.) I smiled and listened for a minute before tossing back the covers and traipsing down the hallway to see what had made him so happy this morning.
There he was, standing at the crib rail, grinning.
When he first started pulling up with regularity, we lowered the mattress to the middle notch. I think today we'll be putting it the rest of the way down.
Honestly, it's a much nicer way to start the morning than the screaming.

You might consider placing anti-deer garden netting over the top of the crib, because that Boy-O is going to be up and out before you can say snap!
ReplyDeleteThe other morning, baby boy slept the longest he ever had (6:20) and I went in to see if he was breathing. He was sitting up, just hanging out. No worries.
ReplyDeleteWe always put our kids in a regular bed with side rails around 15-18 months because of climbing out of the crib.
