We had a lovely day yesterday - I hope you did as well.
There were gifts - but we didn't go insane this year, which was nice (sometimes it feels as if Christmas gets away from me. I have these grand designs that we're going to take a lighter approach and then *kaboom* it's madness.)
Youngest got the hoverboard he's been craving for going on two years now. Complete with go-cart attachment.
Eldest got a couple of high powered nerf guns to assemble (nerf modding is a thing and he is all in on same).
I got a sweatshirt that I've been eyeing. Hubby got some network switches.
In all, gift-wise at least, we got what we wanted and are content.
Better than that, though, was spending the day with my sister and dad. Noshing on perfect prime rib (if I say so myself) and then a baklava cheesecake (it sounds awful, but it's a delight). And remembering the scandalous grace that brought Jesus, our Savior, to earth as a baby so that he could die and make a way for us to live.
