Now that Thanksgiving is over (it was lovely and quiet, just us plus Dad and my sister), the halls are decked and I am putting my foot down and requiring festive family fun each week at least once. I made a list of Christmas movies that I think will appeal to all of us, put them in a cup, and we will play Christmas Movie Roulette.
Tonight will be our inaugural watch.
I'm excited to see what it will be.
Of course, I also fully anticipate whining, but at this point I'm just accustomed that as it seems to be what my kids do. I don't know if I'm just a terrible parent or it's normal for this age, or what - maybe some combination thereof. Regardless, we'll be ignoring all whining and moving along full speed.
Tonight's festivities should be made more fun by the fact that hubs, having just hit the big 5-0, is hip deep in prep for his first ever colonoscopy tomorrow. I snicker a little, but my time isn't too far away, so I can only do so much.
