Strange Dreams

To quote good ol' Phil Collins (as part of Genesis) "Last night I had the strangest dream..." I dreamt about blogging. More specifically, just sitting and typing (at work - I know it was at work because I was on a laptop) and composing my entry. Much like I'm doing now. Except that I must have been slightly conscious - in that early morning "nearly awake" dreaming mode - because then I sat back and thought how odd it was that I was dreaming about blogging. Except then I tried to convince myself I wasn't dreaming, but was in actuality blogging. I was very torn trying to come up with a catchy title as well - trying to tie in the title of the book that Blade Runner was based on but not being able to remember much except that it had to do with andriods and electric sheep. And then I had this big internal debate about whether anyone would get the reference.

It was all so very odd.

I can't for the life of me figure out why that stuck with me, either. Except of course that it was very odd.

Today was back to work day. Kinda stinks to not be on vacation anymore, for all I said I was ready to come home. Maybe I should've clarified more that while I was ready to come home, I was not ready to come back to work. It helps (kind of) that I really don't have anything to do again. So it is definitely back to same old, same old. There is a potential for work soon though, so maybe I will be gainfully employed soon.

With that, I will get back to looking busy. I am pontificating on something that I may blog later as soon as I get my thoughts discombobulated.

A dream can be an expression of an unanswered longing. I blog because I long to create, make an impact, and find validation as a writer. Does this strike a chord? GT

  2. Do Andriods dream of Electric Sheep. Blade Runner is one of my favorite all time films. I'll have to pull out my DVD and watch it again.
