Get out your dancing clogs!

I am so incredibly excited about this that, well, it's probably not healthy. I mean, I know it's going to be cheesy, that's a foregone conclusion, but it doesn't phase me at all...because in 12 short days, I will be watching Riverdance on stage.

I should spin up my Irish folk music on the 'Pod to celebrate...hang on a second...ok, Sharon Shannon collection now playing.

What makes it even better is that Tim is going with me as are my mom and dad. So there will be others to share in the joy. (Got that, you three, joy! No whining. You know you really want to go with me. But don't worry, I won't make you admit it in public. Except Tim. You have to admit it in public.)

Afterward we will be toddling out to eat, and my sister and her hubs will join us, and it will be a week-late Father's Day celebration (and also probably an anniversary celebration for my folks on the event of their 42nd anniversary.) That said, I tried to make reservations at a place that is really nice that mom and dad both enjoy, but they were totally booked. Either that or their online reservation form doesn't work at all. (And seriously, why do you have an online reservation form if it doesn't work? And how do you call up and ask at that point? I imagine it would go something like this:

Host/ess: Thank you for calling fancy, linen table cloth restaurant, how may I help you?
Me: I tried to book online, but it said you were full, but I'd like to make a reservation for six on this date at this time.
Host/ess: Let me check, I'm sorry, amazingly, you freaking idiot, our online reservation form matches up with our computer, thanks so much for wasting my time. )

So we're going somewhere else. That's a little sad. But it'll still be fun. And tasty. And I'll have been to see Riverdance!
