Blog Tour: Lady Carliss and the Waters of Moorue

This is the next installment of the Knights of Arrethtrae series (you may recall I reviewed Sir Dalton and the Shadow Heart previously). This story stands nicely one its own (as did Sir Dalton) but still also has some good tie ins for those who have read previous installments of the story.

In this tale, we find Lady Carliss on a quest to find the antidote for lizard poison that has Sir Dalton 9 days from death. In addition, Carliss must help her friend Salina rescue her family who has been taken captive and is being held in Moorue. The story telling is very rich and you are immersed in the journey - the pages simply flip past as you devour the story.

Chuck Black does a fantastic job weaving clear and challenging Christian allegory into a delightful story without being heavy handed or preachy. While I suspect these are written for the YA audience, I would recommend them to anyone who enjoys reading fantasy tales.

Thanks to WaterBrook Multnomah for providing a review copy of this book.
