We just had the most delightful sandwich for lunch - and while I'm sure it may have been done before, I have never made them this way before, so I thought I'd share.
Blue BLT
1 Ciabatta roll, halved and toasted
1 1/8 inch thick slice of Gorgonzola (sized to roughly cover the roll)
2 leaves Boston lettuce
3 slices tomato (ripe)
1/2 avacado, sliced
Fresh ground black pepper to taste
3 pieces bacon, cooked and crispy
Construct the sandwich and enjoy. (Mine followed the instructions in order - light mayo on the bread is optional.)
