A year ago, I got an email that would turn out to change our lives. I still remember checking my email quickly before heading out for lunch with some coworkers and seeing the sender as the attorneys we were working with and having my heart skip a beat before I convinced myself that they just needed more information on something. I almost didn't open it until later. I'm glad I didn't wait. After reading about the possible match, I called Tim who, wonder of wonders, was actually at his desk and, after a quick conferral, we emailed back that we'd like to be considered.
This began two weeks of nail biting and obsessive email checking, even as I tried to convince myself not to get my hopes up because we'd made it this far so many times before without being chosen. This time, as you know, things turned out so very differently. I wouldn't trade a minute of it.
Last year at this time I asked you to pray for a young woman facing a difficult decision. Today I'll ask you to pray for her again. It's our earnest prayer that as she approaches the anniversary of this decision that she has peace.
