These are adorably illustrated books that feature polar bears (one of my son's current favorites) to walk through a simple story of how God gave us love and Christmas. They're a nice bedtime read (not too long, not too short) with pictures that entertain as you go through the text. Since they're children's books, they're not deeply theological (duh!) but they are a lovely, simple explanation of God and His goodness to each of us.
In God Gave Us Christmas, we find mama bear showing little bear God's presence in the world around us and how all of that together combines to point out God in our world. This is brought back around to show little bear that the best gift - even in the presence of His natural wonders - was Christmas because that brought us Jesus. It's a cute children's book to help distinguish between the fun make believe of Santa and the truth of Christ.
In God Gave Us Love we find grandpa bear teaching little bear about the different kinds of love (for family, friends, and humanity at large) and why we should love even when it's hard.
I suspect they'll become part of the "favorite" rotation.
