Eldest took and passed his written test to get his permit today!
I am definitely more excited about this than he is. I drove to the church after taking him out to lunch so he could circle the parking lot a little and give driving a try. After two circuits, he declared, "I'm done."
We'll get there.
In his defense, I did take the minivan rather than the Prius, so for a first driving foray it was kind of advanced. Still, he did well and I'll be nudging him into much practice here going forward. He needs 45 hours behind the wheel (15 of which need to be at night), so we'll get there.
I do struggle a bit with the notion that he's old enough for this, but the math works. So it must be true.
