When the legislative branch of government mattered.
Like, I get that every president has used executive orders. But it feels like it's just getting ridiculous now. Trump used fewer than Obama, who was the biggest circumventer of due process. And now it's like no one gives a damn that we are supposed to have checks and balances.
Of course, if Congress actually did their f'n job, maybe that would help. But they're busy with their witch hunts instead of, oh, I don't know, passing laws.
I'm so fed up. And disgusted. And heartbroken. And terrified.
And seriously wondering if there's somewhere that would genuinely be better than the smoldering husk of liberty that'll be left here after four years of this madness.
